Past and present

The way things are going currently, I really wish I was born in the ’70s because I love that era. Especially in 1983 when Michael Jackson moonwalked for the first time, I wish I was alive to see it on national television. But besides my love for Michael, I really wish I was alive because of the way life was! 
 

Can you imagine that cellphones were not so popular, there would have been a house phone and if someone wanted to see me they would either have to write a letter or come see me. I do not like how cellphones make everything so easy now, the fact that I am part of generation Z and I am saying this is quite shocking! 

I do love electronics but I really don’t like the fact that it’s taking so much space in our lives. I love an actual book more than a digital book, to make it worse now you don’t even have to read anymore you can just listen to an audiobook or scan through an article to get everything you need. Where did the morning paper go? I love that idea! I think it was so cool to just wait for the paperboy to drop it off in the morning and you can just go outside with your bathrobe with a coffee mug in hand to pick it up at your front door.  Well, now you get it on your phone or just use google!

Google makes everything so easy and I guess I should be grateful but sometimes I just wish that I could do the work myself, like walking to a library to do my own research! I barely do that now because everything I need is on the internet! Talking about being lazy.

I love the kinds of music back then, they had a story and not just a naked girl with a thong on the screen. Girls used to cover up and had respect for themselves. Everyone was so well-spoken and more respectful, they didn’t use words of profanity that often when they were speaking to an elderly or someone with authority. I love that writing letter was so popular! And I didn’t just have to send a text replying “k” like what is that?? 

I know some of my friends say that I am too deep but really it’s because my mind is living in another era. I don’t love like the people in the 21st century, the amount of work I am willing to do and the intensity of it doesn’t match anyone I ever met…
