Why you attract toxic people. 

If all the toxic people you have encounter in your life had a stamp on their foreheads saying toxic you probably wouldn’t want to talk to them. But as convenient as that sounds sadly we never know someone’s true nature until we try something serious with them.

You probably met a ton of  or maybe a handful  of people in your lifetime who appeared to be good people at first but they turned out to be the complete opposite of what you thought. Well let me tell you why you attracted them in the first place because it has happened to me. The fact that you’ve met toxic people throughout your life can also justify some of the toxic traits that you are now suddenly displaying because we tend to act the same as the people we hang out with. But I am not going to talk about how toxic people may rub off on you, I am here to tell you why you attracted them in the first place.

• You have a kind nature: toxic people love the loving, caring and easy going type of people because suddenly you have become their prey; they can insult you however they want to and gaslight you every which way to make you feel like you’re the problem and not them. Beware of those types of people who says “ if you’re weren’t this way this wouldn’t have happen or if you were perfect I wouldn’t—— “ just to justify their wrong doings. Don’t get involved with people who never take accountability for their actions. 
• You often avoid altercation: toxic people love people who avoid arguments because they can do whatever they want and they know you won’t confront them about it because you hate doing that. You don’t have to love arguing but you should try to always stand up for yourself and confront someone when they do you wrong because your voice matter. Always speak up. 
• You have a white knight savior personality: if you love to come to the rescue of everyone and always solve everyone’s problem then a toxic person might just prey on you and make you solve all of their problems while they do nothing. It is not a bad thing to want to save everyone but just always remember that you can’t save everyone and some people have to go though their own experience in order for them to grow so you don’t always have to come in to save the day. 
• You’re reliable: although this is a good trait to have but when you’re dealing with a toxic person they may use it to their own advantage. They might just ask you to be there for them anytime they want to even if you have something important going on they will not even care, they will even make you feel bad if you can’t cancel on everyone else just to come spend time with them. Truth is they will always want you to be there for them but they have no intentions of being there for you, so really they are using you. 
• You love to share: this is a great trait to have but again a toxic person might use you in a lot ways; they will take your time, resources and energy without any care in the world and they will not reciprocate it. Steer clear of those who take all your resources without acknowledging all the sacrifices you’ve made for them.

Toxic people are everywhere and it would be really nice for us not to encounter them ever again but sadly that may not always be possible but we can now distinguish some of their ways to avoid them…
