Should women learn how to cook?
Believe it or not I was once a feminist! I used to believe women should be able to do the same thing a man can do without being penalized for it. I used to think it is not my job to clean the house and to cook for a man all the time because if I do it so can he; well sure a man can cook and clean but it is not their job! They are providers and they are the head of the household ( which I had a problem with that as well because at first I wanted to be one making the decision but let’s look at it this way if two people are the head of the household then nothing will get done! And everything will be a mess because there is no hierarchy ! And by letting the man be the head of the household does not mean that I don’t have a say in anything! )
For example I used to believe if a man can have multiple sexual partners then woman should be allowed to do the same without being seen as a whore because if that’s what we want to do then we should be able to do it. There was a lot of things wrong with my theory ! Because a woman’s body is not the same compare to a man! And we can’t detach sexual encounters from romantic feelings as easy as a man does! As women We are emotional beings and that is totally fine!
Now should we be able to cook?
Yes! We should, but first we must take the time to learn how to cook. Part of being a woman is to be nurturing and inviting; what better way to fulfill this part of our existence by cooking for the people we love? I used to feel less than when I was thinking about cooking for my male friends because to me that was so shameful to just hand a plate of food to a man! Why was I so prideful? Well maybe it was because I used to spend a lot of times watching feminist talk online and then I became to feel above the men. I am no longer a feminist by the way, I now believe it is totally okay to be submissive to man that you love, it is okay to cook for your man because it feels so great to see someone you love smile and be happy because of something you made. Cooking for your family is so nurturing and so fulfilling; yes it is tiring and of course you might need some help cleaning after but that is a human thing to be tired. A woman that cannot cook is lacking in my opinion, because how would you cook for your child if you have any? How would you take care of your household? How will you cook for your husband? And I know what some feminist are thinking when someone says « you need to cook for your husband » they’re thinking how wrong society is for prepping women to learn how to take care of a man! What is so wrong about that?! Why can’t I take great pride in making my man happy by cooking for him? I do love to cook, and I have been cooking a lot more this year instead of ordering takeouts. I feel happy when I try new recipes, although I solely cook for myself but when I do share my food with others I have not gotten any complaints ( mostly they may say it’s too spicy because I love hot pepper lol but yeah that’s it)
Cooking is beautiful and more women should do it!
