Things that make me feel at ease.
- Warm lights, bright lights makes me uncomfortable.
- Access to a darkroom at the end of the day to recharge especially after a stressful event, I tend to get a headache so being in a dark room is needed.
- Candles, especially scented ones preferably vanilla scents and lavender.
- Watching SpongeBob before bed.
- A cup of peppermint or chamomile tea.
- My sunlight i bought on Amazon ( that light is always on)
- My cats. They make me feel safe and at home.
- Books. I love having lots of books, they make me feel safe; in high school books gave me the joy and the escape I needed.
- Heating pad. I use it when I feel sad; it makes me feel warm and safe. It also attracts my cats to lay on me because it’s warm.
- Calming music, preferably classical music.
- Red wine. It relaxes me after a tough day and makes me get ready for bed quicker.
- A nap. When I am tense all I need is a nap to ease the tension and when I am not working I can take up to 2 naps a day or at least a long nap that last 3 hours.
