I don’t know if there's a name for being in love with a particular era, but I’m fascinated by the 1980’s era. I love watching old commercials from the 1980s on youtube and they usually last 1-2hours!
If I had a Time Machine I would go back in time especially to see Michael Jackson live oh how I would love to hug him!. It’s hard to explain but I love his music, his voice, his demeanor, the way he dances, oh Gosh, especially at the 1988 Grammy award where he performed the way you make me feel and the man in the mirror! Even prince who was in the audience was blown away. That was one of my favorite performances after the Motown 25 Billie Jean performance which was what started it all and that night was the first time he moonwalked in front of an audience. Can you believe I know all this!? If there’s a quiz on Michael Jackson’s life I will ace it. He was soooo sweet, so humble yet so handsome, especially in the thriller era that’s when he was the cutest, he was actually hot during his album bad era. I also love the dangerous album and I think that he should have gotten more awards for that album especially when he performed dangerous at his concerts! Those dance skills are neat and out of this world.
I am not ashamed to say that I spend hours watching his interviews, listening to him speak, watching his concerts; simply because when I love something or someone I spend a lot of time getting to know everything about them. From what I’ve gathered, he was the sweetest human being to grace this earth, and I just can’t comprehend how someone that nice and humble went through that much heartache! He was abused as a child and he practically had no childhood being thrown in the music industry at the age of 9 then being forced to perform all the time and in strip clubs! That was no place for an 11-year-old. He saw too much as a child being on the road with his older brothers and his father was a monster for all the things he did to Mike! Gosh how can a parent abuse his child like that? It’s so inhuman it makes me cry. He was so lonely, at some point he says he used to take walks in his neighborhood at night hoping to see someone so he could talk to them, I would give everything I own to walk to that street to meet him, no one in his entourage seemed to love him for who he is and fully accepted him. I heard him saying on a tape that he would love to find love and be committed to someone because he never had a relationship, he was actually 34! wow, (I almost want to tell him me too) he also said " I just want to find love I am not going to be here for a long time" he actually knew that! which is quite heartbreaking.
Despite all of the hardships, Micheal remained sweet and nice to everyone, he did not retaliate or become angry if anything he was known for being quiet and shy. I’ve never actually cared about a celebrity the way that I care about Michael, to me he’s not just a celebrity he is a beautiful human being. He was so gentle, I never heard that he was mean towards a girl or even a child. He loved kids so much but the world could not understand the depth of his love so they made him look like a pervert. He loved those kids because he himself didn’t have a childhood and he wanted to make all the kids around him happy. He was an empath and the world was not ready for him, they crucified him but in the midst of it all he will always be in my heart, I will always cherish all the things that he did when he was alive. I own half of his vinyl records I have the album thriller, bad and dangerous I just need off the wall, history past and present, invincible; knowing how obsessed I am I will probably end up buying all of them soon. Hopefully, he will grace this earth again with his beautiful smile in the new world. He will forever be my peter pan never leaving neverland.
