I did a little digging on why summer is already a dreadful time for me, and what better way to discover the root of the issue then to go back to my childhood? so that's what I did. I ask my mom how I used to be during the summertime when I was younger, and she told me I always hated summertime! because " I hated being home all the time from school without seeing my friends and having to do house chores all the time" she said I was always sad and reading books all day in my room. I wouldn't play outside or even do anything fun, I just waited until September to be happy again! she said my happiest times were always between November and may after that I start to get sad, but she never understood why. well, I do! it's Reverse SAD (some people have seasonal affective disorder in the winter but mine starts in the summer) I talked about that last summer and prepare yourself for me to bring it up every summer.
For me to be happy in the summer I need:
1. a vacation (somewhere tropical I am going to start saving for next year because I don't want to be miserable again)
2. go to the beach (with friends or family members)
I don't know what else to do because I don't really like hiking or camping... but I love the beach.
I actually love winter, because I mostly decline all invitation in the summer people might think that I am anti-social but quite the contrary I am suffering from " summertime sadness" as Lana del Rey put it. I am never complaining during the winter times, my mood is always upbeat and cheerful (here and there I might get sad because of life events but not because of the weather). I was born in December so it's only right that I love winter.
