Hey you guys,
As I am typing this there is a newcomer crying in my bathroom, you guessed it it's a new kitten!
Yes I got a new cat named Pixie and she is just about 2 1/2 months old, she is really cute but I cannot let her roam the house freely just yet because Archie is here and you all know that Archie is very special. Cats are very territorial you can't just put a new cat with an existing cat to let them "work it out" because they will fight!. I was scared to bring a new cat into the house because I wasn't sure how Archie would react. when I brought in Pixie I let her come out of the carrier by herself and I put her on a table, she immediately fell asleep on my laptop which was cute but Archie was trying to get a scent of her. He's not used to other cats because I got him when he was 2 months and he hasn't been around any other cats.
I have 6 steps to follow before I introduced them and I am on step 3.
1. put the new kitten in a separate room.
2. rub the new kitten with a towel or blanket and give it to Archie, just so he can get used to her scent.
3. swap room without any eye contact just so they know there is another cat here.
I still have to give them food on each side of the door, bring her to the vet and eat play love is when they finally officially meet!
wish me luck, I am scared for pixie because she is a clueless baby. she already wants to play with Archie but he's not having it lol
