Ronaldo

Publié par Gaelle.R

Nope I am not talking about cristiano I am talking about brazil's' legend ronaldo luís nazário de lima! He has 2 ballon d'or and he scored 8 goals in 2002 winning him his second world cup! I think he was a phenomenal player and cristiano ronaldo or even Lionel messi can't compare. But In 1998 he had a seizure right before the match but he came back in the last 2 minutes but sadly the team lost but at least he was okay.

He's one of the greatest football players alongside Ronaldinho I love both of them and now I love Neymar!! :))

sleepy/ insomnia?

Publié par Gaelle.R

I have been feeling really sleepy lately, I sometimes struggle with insomnia but I haven't experienced it in a while so that's great!! I have been sleeping really long hours...it's like all I do is eat, sleep, work then repeat. My phone is off most hours of the day and it has been helping with my anxiety... I feel much better when I don't check my phone. If anyone needs me they can call or send a text; I'll get back to you when I can. My mental health is more important than being on the phone. I find Watching soccer games to be very calming, I love soccer and my favorite team is Brazil. Neymar was so cute yesterday in the match against Korea have you seen his little dance !! Omg my heart melted it was a great match!! :))) and that makes me happy.

xanax.

Publié par Gaelle.R

This documentary that I just watch last night on Netflix called xanax:take your pill was a huge eye opener for me. Although I have never taken xanax or any benzodiazepines drug because I always knew they were addicting and habit forming. As someone who is struggling with anxiety at times I agree it would be so much better if I could just take something to calm my nerves in a matter of minutes... but everything that you put in your body has some types of sides effects.

in the 1970's almost everyone was taking a valium and soon enough they realize this drug was actually destroying their bodies. Doctors nowadays will not always tell you all the sides effects of a medication, they will tell you sure it has some types of sides effects but hey this pill will solve your problem; but is it? As we find out in this documentary Xanax is probably the worst drug you can take for your anxiety and I know for sure that the doctors are not going to love this. When you go see a doctor to talk about your anxiety at first they ask you questions to figure how is it affecting your daily life and sometimes you may have a bad day here and there; you might use one of your bad days as an example and then your doctor suddenly think it's safe for you to take xanax or a similar drug while telling you that there is some side effects but it's just a small price to pay to get better! but NOOOO! It's actually a big price to pay because those drugs are not meant to be used for a long period of time and yet here you are feeling better and more like yourself for the first time in a long time so you get addicted to it. When you get addicted to a drug your body starts to build a tolerance so now your doctor has to increase the dosage and as time goes on you might want to stop the medication but that's the trap you can't ever get off too quick or at all if you are in your 50's you might as well keep taking it until you die.

Isn't that scary? but why do we even take it at all? to feel better? but it's addicting. My advice to anyone considering taking xanax or valium or any benzodiazepine drug is stop think before you take that pill.  Going to psychotherapy will always be my first choice and although you cannot pray all of your problems away but  1 peter 5:7 says that God cares for you and you can throw all your anxieties on him you can ask him to alleviate the pain and he will.

book for december

Publié par Gaelle.R

I am going to read those 3 books this month

1. maybe you should probably talk to someone by Lori Gottlieb

2. Are U ok? A guide to caring for your mental health by Kati Morton

3. the things I didn't say in Therapy by Logan Duane.

The last one is a "maybe" and I might pick something else because it's a little bit controversial I don't agree with some of the things the author wrote.

All These books are on Amazon.

I just wrote something about premenstrual dysphoric disorder, if you struggle with that I feel for you. People think it's not that bad for women to experienced their period every month ( well only insensitive men think that) . and it sucks! like sometimes I feel like I would rather die. Besides all the cramps you also have to deal with your hormones making you feel emotional, depressed, unmotivated, hopeless and feeling so disgusting.

If I am getting in a relationship with someone they need to understand that this is no joke! it's hell. They will need to treat me with utmost care and love for those 3 days. It's the extreme sadness, the anger, being so irritable and then feeling sorry for acting like a jerk afterwards. Thank God it doesn't last because I would die.

During those times I usually:

  • turn off my phone.
  • stay off social media.
  • cry for hours.
  • watch rom-coms then cry some more.
  • force my cats to snuggle with me but Archie loves cuddling now so it's fine.
  • eat so much then cry because I gain weight.

things that helps

  • heating pads to help with the cramps.
  • rest and taking naps all day.
  • keeping my environment clean.
  • watch funny movies and videos.
  • call someone who's sweet and caring.
  • acknowledge that this is just temporary and that it will all go back to normal soon.
  • take pain killers but only when the cramps are getting worse.

PMS

Publié par Gaelle.R

It's pain to cry every month,

and bleed all over the place.

It's pain feeling my whole life falling apart all in one day.

It's pain feeling all the serotonin leaving my body,

crying for hours feeling all alone.

some doesn't get to experienced this,

I envy them.

Some feels less emotional,

but I get the whole shabam.

beauty tips

Publié par Gaelle.R

This is for anyone not just for girls.

1. always stay clean. That is the number one rule! always shower at least 2 times a day. keep your clothes clean and wash your hair weekly if you have an afro and daily if it's always greasy. Never wear your gym outfit out to meet someone, you can go grocery shopping after your workout shesh but I wouldn't recommend it if you sweat a lot! and that's not embarrassing at all it's totally normal to sweat when you are working out.

2. always wear deodorant. Please don't ever get those natural deodorants you will sweat through them so get yourself something that will last at least 24 hours and something that will give you full coverage even if you are running around and sweating all day. I always get those powder dry fast sprayed deodorants because they don't leave white marks on my dark clothes.

3. keep your teeth clean and healthy. Try to get a good dentist and get a cleaning every 6 months, always floss daily and brush your teeth twice a day ( once in the morning and once at night) don't eat a lot of sweets to avoid getting cavities

4. go to a dermatologist. If you get a mole out of nowhere always get it checked by a dermatologist. you don't need to have acne or any visible skin condition to go to a dermatologist. They have great advice on how to keep your skin clean, my dermatologist is super nice but she hates it that I wear makeup twice a week... she hates the idea of makeup but I take every other advice she gives me and a huge part of my skin is so flawless now if only that little part of my right side could corporate! see we are never satisfied a year ago I would've given anything to have at least a small part of my clear but now that almost my whole face is clear I am complaining! anyway always seek a dermatologist for any skin-related issues.

5. have a skincare routine. wash your face after every makeup and every night, and keep it simple because lots of products clog your skin and will give you acne. I find the cetaphil soap bar cleanser to be a safe choice and that's all I've been using for about a year now.

6. always wear sunscreen. your dermatologist will tell you the same thing and it will be the best decision you ever made. even if your skin has a lot of melanin you can still get sunburn and you can still get skin cancer from too much uv rays exposure. If you have struggled with acne and you have dark spots then you should definitely wear sunscreen because you will get more dark spots and your skin will take longer to get clear. Sunscreen is always a good choice.

7. always wear clothes that make you feel like yourself. the first thing people see is your appearance and what you wear so take your time to figure out what you want to wear and pick something that shows exactly who you are or who you want to become.

8. use hydrating liquid skin cleanser. trust me it will help keep your skin soft and vibrant whereas the bar soap dries out your skin
