Are cops really the problem?
In 2020 when the Black Lives Matter movement started and everyone wanted to be an activist or woke someone approached me at work. She was white (it doesn’t matter to me I am stating her race to show how people from different races think they can connect with one another, she did get it wrong though) she said “ police are dogs right after what they did to George Floyd” she took me by surprise because I wasn’t talking to her and I was just trying to do my job. I said “ I don’t have any opinion on that but I respect the police because they save lives everyday”
She was taking aback by my answer because other people agreed but I didn’t. I thought to myself: just because I’m black doesn’t mean I hate the police! I respect them and if they pull me over I’m not going to act smart or raise my voice I am just going to do what they ask me to do and stay calm and collected. If they arrest me I’m not going to record anything because they have a dash cam! And if one bad cop arrest me by mistake then my lawyer will defend me. I’m not going to fight a cop! That’s stupid and I don’t have a death wish. I respect everyone until you prove me wrong even then I won’t take revenge on you because that’s not my job (God sees everything and he knows my heart)
I respect the police and I have nothing bad to say about them. I have nothing but positive interactions with them.
