Things I love and hate at the gym but mostly things I love because I don't have many things I hate.

Things I love: seeing the same people I normally work out with at the same time we normally meet because I genuinely worry when I don't see the regulars I wonder if they're ok or if they're sick! and when I see them, I say hey and smile at them because you never really know what someone is going through. When someone who takes working out seriously stop that's a major red flag and it shows they're not okay because working out is important to them and you can see it on their physique. You can see all of their hard work and their dedication when they walk by. I love working out next to them they're so motivated and sometimes I copy some of their exercises and they copy mines too which is fine because I love them without knowing who they are but just because we work out together it's enough for me to admire them from afar of course.

I don't like working out with people: I don't mind going to the gym with someone but give me 1 hour to get my hard exercises out the way and then we will work out together after. I don't like talking in between my sets, the gym is not for socializing it's my safe place. I don't talk; I don't engage in anything other than working out. once I put my music on and I lock in just leave me alone we'll talk after. I also don't mind if you're working on the machine next me or you just do what I do in silence, I don't mind at all.

I like when all my exercises are hitting the right spot! I can feel it in the muscle group I'm working out in. If I am working my glutes during isolation workout, I like to hold each glute a little bit to feel the contraction don't judge me! it's nothing sexual I just like to feel my muscles engage during my work out. sometimes people stare but I don't care lol

I don't like when a man talks to me: as I said before I don't like to engage in anything other than working out at the gym unless you are approaching me to give me tips on my form or telling me I dropped something then don't talk to me. It has happened a few times and all those times I was super annoyed! first time I was extremely rude, and I felt bad after so now I just say "I can't talk right now I am working out maybe later" knowing damn well as soon as I'm done, I'll be running out of there like Usain bolt.

shape your peach with me.

Publié par Gaelle.R

For the past 5 months I have been lifting weights and doing various movements to shape the peach (when I say peach I mean glutes) here are some tips and some of the exercises I have been doing:

  1. let me just say if you want bigger glutes you have to eat, that's the number one thing you should do. You can do all the exercises in the world but if you're not eating your peach will never grow. You also have to eat the right meals, eating fast foods does not count! you have to eat a lot of protein, carbs are good too, and fat is not always bad but make sure you eat more protein than anything else. some examples of meals and snacks: protein shakes (milk, strawberry, peanut butter, oats, banana, whey powder, blueberries) steak, salmon, roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes actually any potatoes, pasta with shrimp and ground beef, brown rice, pigeon beans, black beans, eggs! (that has so much protein in it one large egg has 6-7 grams of protein) salad with grilled chicken and nuts, quinoa

now let's do some exercises

  • you don't need to train your glutes daily start with 2 days a week and 3 days maximum for example Monday and Friday, or Tuesday and Saturday. Reasons why you don't need to train your glutes often is because you need to give the muscle time to recover to avoid overtraining and injuries. Especially if you just started working out 2 days are just what you need. The muscle does not grow while you're working out, your muscles grow during rest days which is why you need to eat properly and hydrate yourself when you're not working out a particular muscle. For example, I work out my glutes on Monday then I don't need to work out my glutes again on Tuesday, but I can work out my upper body which is what I do. I can't do intense cardio either on Tuesday because my legs are tired, but walking is good to loosing up my muscles.
  • some exercises: you need a thrusting movement, a squatting movement, a step-up movement, lunges movement, hip abduction movement, leg isolation exercises like RDL, Bstance Rdl, Wall RDL, leg kickback movement (you don't have to do all of them on the same day) for example one day you can do front squats, backs squats, elevated squats or box squats yes there are a variables of squats and each one of them focus on either the quads, the upper glutes of the lower glutes, then do step ups, leg kickback. Rdl, next day you can do hip thrust, back lunges, deadlift and box squat.  I like doing elevated toes squats, Bulgarian squat and curtsy squats, box squats (if you don't know how to do them watch videos on them) I am not suddenly an expert I've watched tons of videos online to figure out how to do the exercises properly.

some tips

  • Always prioritize forms over heavy weights especially if you just started working out, the main important thing is your form not how heavy is the weight. If the weight is too heavy and your form is bad you will not achieve anything but an injury. Starts slow with lower weight to get your form properly then increase the weight when you get comfortable.
  • don't stay comfortable as you get the correct form you will need to increase the weight to see progress. you will need to lift heavier for more muscle growth, if you stay comfortable with your not so heavy weight you won't achieve much. If you want a wagon you will need to lift as heavy as you can where you can do 8 reps of 4 sets.
  • rest days are extremely important because when you work out you break down the muscle and when you are resting the muscle repair itself and gets bigger.

A girl said “ if that guy over there was my man I would never make him wait.” And I thought “and that’s why he’s not your man” I’ve been saying this all the time! If you are desperate for a man he will never come, leave him alone and go live your life in peace. Stop revolving your life around a man, he’s not the only man on earth. If this guy doesn’t want you then another one will.

Let the guy do the work stop facilitating things for him all the time, granted you should express interest from time to time but don’t be desperate just let him make the decision but don’t wait around for him either. Go out on dates with other men, talk to other guys and have fun. Honestly I love my life currently, it is so peaceful! No drama ;) just me and my 2 beautiful cats, my gym sessions, my time with God and my alone time at the end of the day with my journal.

Quite honestly.

I thought about this in depth because I often think about what I want in a relationship even if I haven’t dated anyone. Quite frankly I didn’t want to, I have options but none of them are what I am about to say.

Whether I want it or not I am a little masculine, bossy and a bit pushy! I need a man who can stand on his own and who’s more masculine than me. Someone who’s territorial, has a little authority not too much where he’s rude and mean to me but a man who can lead me there that’s the word! I need a man who’s fit to lead me, teach me something I haven’t learned before about life and be ready to take charge otherwise I’ll do it. I have no problem commending the room and getting what I want but when I find a man who can lead me ugh that’s what I want. If you’re a little boy just leave me alone.
