One thing I want to share about fitness with anyone who's interested is that, if you are looking to lose weight but you are lifting weights a lot you might not see any change on the scale because you may be losing body fat, but you are also gaining muscle weight which is why your clothes may fit better or even looser yet you weigh the same. You may lose 3 pounds of body fat but if you gain 3 pounds of muscle the scale will remain the same, with that being said I don't even weigh myself anymore because every time I do I am disappointed that I am not losing that much weight yet my clothes feel different and I am gaining muscles... it takes a while to see a drastic change but that doesn't mean that you are not making progress. If you work out consistently, I can assure you that your body is changing for the better.
if you want to reach your goals:
- you have to eat the same meal and cut out fast food.
- do the same exercises for months because people think you need to change your exercises, but truth is you don't you just have to increase the weight because the more you do the same exercises the better you will get at doing them meaning you will have proper form so now you can gradually add more weight as you go.
- go to sleep early so that you can get a full 8 hours or more of sleep because after an intensive work out you will need to rest, and sleep is the best way to do that!
- if you want to gain muscles you have to stop eating fried food (you can eat that once in a while for a cheat day) eat good protein for example: salmon, quinoa, eggs, protein shakes, steak is ok too, but I try to avoid it because it takes longer to digest and it makes me bloated so not too much of that for me.
- less alcohol because that slows down the body and you may retain a lot of fat in your gut, that doesn't apply to me the last time I had a drink was in July and before that I had a drink back in January. I only drink 2 months a year December and January that's it unless I am out with someone but at my house, I only buy alcohol for 2 months out of the year.
- drink lots of water to replenish the muscle and the body.
