girl code?

I am not extreme when it comes to my crushes and my friends; I understand that you don't always chose who you love, if both me and my friend likes the same guy which happened twice already when I was a kid. Both times I told the girl if he likes you and he picks you I won't be mad, you can have him I will back off! I must've been 8 or 9! I've always been mature for my age. That girl was my best friend and I had no problem leaving the guy when he picked her, that guy was also my best friend lol. when they would talk on the phone in front of me it would hurt but I would just walk away and find something else to do to get my mind off things. I stopped talking to the guy until I moved on and we became best friends again after. That guy was my first love and yes I dated him for 1 week lol, it felt weird because we were destined to be best friends not romantically involved.

It did cross my mind that if she was truly my friend she would have left him alone but even at that age I understood love was complicated so I let them be together even if it did hurt me. I thought what if he picked me? I would have gladly dated him so I understood where she was coming from. 

The only time girl code is enforced for me is if the guy is already my boyfriend then he is off limits, no touching him, no calling him on the phone, no texting him if you need something ask me lol. But if I am not dating the guy then he can do whatever he wants but if he knows I like him and still pick my friend ... I would be upset but what can I do? love is love and if he was the love of my life he would have never done that. I always move on. Forcing something that's not good for me is never something I will allow myself to do.

I am not one of those girls If I like a guy my friends can't talk to him, I don't care. If he's my guy he will not entertain my friends and if they're my friends they would not entertain him or cross the boundaries. I will find out even when they think I won't. I will see the signs and if I don't see it I will have a dream that they aren't being honest with me and I am always right. I may not say anything but I always know. The guy I like is the one I look at, how does he treat me and my friends? does he pay more attention to them? Liking someone doesn't have to mean that they are your person. The same way I can like a guy today is the same way I can like another guy tomorrow.

Girl code: if I like a guy and my friend is touching him inappropriately and they know I like the guy, I'll know who my frenemies are but I won't even tell her anything I'll just distance myself.

My friend can date my ex if I moved on, I don't care you can have him. 

I am talking to this guy currently well rather he's talking to me because I am not interested, my friend think he's cute so I told her listen I don't like him if you like him you can talk to him. she was shocked! she was like no he likes you and I said and? I don't care I don't like him. You can talk to him if you want. 

If someone is no use to me and my friend likes him then babe go ahead shoot your shot... don't let me be in the way of you finding love.
