I went on a date once, the guy was not really my type but at the time I was bored and willing to subject myself to hang out with someone I didn't exactly find appealing. He wasn't ugly, quite the contrary but emotionally we were night and day. I only realize how different we were on the day of the date, I am someone who plans everything. I don't like surprises meaning I need to know where we're going, the name of the place so I can look up the menu to see what I could potentially order, the vibe so that I'll know how to dress. He on the other end was someone who goes with the flow, nothing wrong with that just like there's nothing wrong with me planning everything so that I am prepared.
Long story short, after I praticaly make him pick a restaurant because it was a first date and I am considerate. I don't know his budget so I decided to let him pick even if I will bring my own money just in case he decides not to pay for me (that never happened to me but there's a first time for everything), anyway I get to the restaurant and I dressed for the occasion. He did not, the restaurant is very formal and he was very casual. I was afraid they were going to tell him he couldn't dine inside but we were able to get a table. immediately I felt the vibe was not it and this would potentially be the last and first hang out. Because I was not attracted to him whatsoever, I decided to be myself without holding anything back. I am always myself but that day I decided to give him the raw and uncut version. By the end of the date he asked me if I was autistic lol!
He kept asking me questions, not knowing he was quizzing me for a diagnosis. At this point I didn't care I was answering every questions truthfully. He asked me in what garments do I sleep in, I said pajamas which is true! he asked me if I am hanging out with a group of people and they're socializing and mangling but it's been hours what's my state of my mind? I said " I am probably tired by that point and wanting to go home" then he followed up with " what would you decide to do if you didn't have your car and you came with someone who clearly wants to stay?" I said well I would either catch a ride with someone who's leaving early or I would take a uber home. He asked me to describe a random Thursday and I did... he said wow you've already planned out your day? I said yes doesn't everyone? he said no. oh well I told him I plan all of my meals for each day of the week, I plan all of my routine and I went into details, he was shocked. I told him I am always making list and crossing things off on my to do list everyday... he could not believe it.
welp by the end of the hang out, he told me " you're very interesting, have you ever taken a test to see if you're autistic?" I was so shocked. it took me a day to reply to that text ! I said no I don't think I am autistic but thank you for your concern (that was the final text I sent before I blocked him)
