So you probably know that i like to write and if you really know me then you would know that my whole life is based on that i live it. I mean it's one thing i really hold dear and that i am really passionate about and i don't do well with criticism that aren't based on what i wrote but on me as a person or a female. If i wrote something and i show you and i ask you for your opinion don't tell me anything other than what i wrote don't ask me how old i am, where i am from to evaluate my sense of thinking because to me that's irrelevant.
To start my English professor who since the beginning of this semester ask who wants to be a writer then i automatically raised my hand. At first i thought it was a bad idea because every time he talks about writing he is looking at me and wondering what i know about that. I love writing and i don't mind talking about it. Eventually he ask me to share a poem in class so i choose "broken city" a poem i wrote a while ago. Although i don't fully understand the meaning of it sometimes because it can mean a lot of things that sometimes i am lost. i gave him three of my poems and i chose one so he told me after reading them that my poems are...a downer is that the word i know i don't do rainbows and sunshine lol but he was like after reading them i feel like committing suicide i don't know if that's a good thing ?! i mean he is basically saying i am not the most positive person in poetry. I agree with him that i am not all smiley, lovey dovey in poetry because i don't know how to all i know is how life end so sudden lol. actually i don't know what i know until i put a pen down on a paper. I am not saying that i hate it when someone have a negative view about my poem actually that makes me want to see me grow i have to hear what you gotta say about what i wrote i just don't have to accept what you said about me. Same to you, you may be in school and you wrote a paper for a class and you give it to a tutor to tell you what they think...you're not going to like it if they ask about your background if the paper is not about that like just tell me about what you've read. Like i like it that my English professor told me his opinion no one ever told me something like that and i want more criticism like that. Tell me if it made you cry, laugh or happy; just tell me what you feel inside when you've read it. I know there might be some grammatical errors not too bad to kill the vibe but i have to say English is not my first language and i have less than five years speaking it and writing it so far i am proud of my accomplishment but tell me when you see some errors i like people who aren't afraid to help others in that sense.
