Past and present
The way things are going currently, I really wish I was born in the ’70s because I love that era. Especially in 1983 when Michael Jackson moonwalked for the first time, I wish I was alive to see it on national television. But besides my love for Michael, I really wish I was alive because of the way life was!
Can you imagine that cellphones were not so popular, there would have been a house phone and if someone wanted to see me they would either have to write a letter or come see me. I do not like how cellphones make everything so easy now, the fact that I am part of generation Z and I am saying this is quite shocking!
I do love electronics but I really don’t like the fact that it’s taking so much space in our lives. I love an actual book more than a digital book, to make it worse now you don’t even have to read anymore you can just listen to an audiobook or scan through an article to get everything you need. Where did the morning paper go? I love that idea! I think it was so cool to just wait for the paperboy to drop it off in the morning and you can just go outside with your bathrobe with a coffee mug in hand to pick it up at your front door. Well, now you get it on your phone or just use google!
Google makes everything so easy and I guess I should be grateful but sometimes I just wish that I could do the work myself, like walking to a library to do my own research! I barely do that now because everything I need is on the internet! Talking about being lazy.
I love the kinds of music back then, they had a story and not just a naked girl with a thong on the screen. Girls used to cover up and had respect for themselves. Everyone was so well-spoken and more respectful, they didn’t use words of profanity that often when they were speaking to an elderly or someone with authority. I love that writing letter was so popular! And I didn’t just have to send a text replying “k” like what is that??
I know some of my friends say that I am too deep but really it’s because my mind is living in another era. I don’t love like the people in the 21st century, the amount of work I am willing to do and the intensity of it doesn’t match anyone I ever met…

" Loving you makes me feel so free, that I can step out of the house with my hair undone with the brightest smile on my face knowing that I have you while feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
When the sun rises, I only wish to see your beautiful face and to hear your heart beating right next to mine.
I don't know what the future holds but I know that I'll love you forever because a world without you in it will simply be impossible for me to survive.
If you were to tell me that we can't stay together, I'll be broken but I'll make it easy for you because I know that's what you want but I'll always love you."

Little women.
This movie is the one that came out in 2019 which is a coming-of-age movie and yes I did watch it because my one and only crush Timothee chalamet is in there. I actually bought the movie because I love it so much. If you loved reading or watching pride and prejudice then please go watch it, but you have to either rent it out or buy it because it is a very hard-to-find treasure.
The story plays out with the main character Jo who is a strong-minded, so brave, stubborn, and inspiring young lady who was so beautiful inside and out. She was a very talented writer who sells her story anonymously for $20 just so she could help out her family. She had three sisters: Amy, Beth, and Meg; they were all beautiful and full of life. Meg was the oldest, Amy the middle child, and Beth the youngest. One day Laurie shows up played by the handsome Timothee chalamet and he was interested in Jo a whole lot. They used to play, dance, and fight all the time; they were like best friends who actually looked like a couple. But Jo always dreamed of being free and following her dream as a writer, she had no plans of marrying anyone but Laurie was falling helplessly each time they spend time together. The whole family witness their friendship and anyone would think that one day they were going to eventually marry each other.
Beth the youngest loved to play piano and one day Laurie's uncle gifted Beth a very nice piano but her sisters had to get her out of the house so that they could bring the piano inside. While she was out she visited the neighbors and one of the children was sick with Scarlet fever and she caught it. She became very ill and with the family not having enough means to take care of her they couldn't bring her overseas to get treated so her fate was doomed. The family decided that she would stay at home and they would take care of her so she could recover.
Meg the oldest was sent out in the world as they would do for all the young ladies when it was time for them to find a husband. She did not find anyone suitable to her taste but little did she know that the love of her life was right next door if only she had given him a chance. Eventually, she came back home and the man next door proved to be an angel and a man suited to conquer her heart. she fell for him and they would marry right away, so she married for love.
Jo didn't want to get married as she always say she never find the idea of marriage to be appealing to her, she would feel trapped. After Meg's wedding, Laurie decided to confess his undying love for Jo but she turned him down and Laurie was so devastated that he wanted to die. He said, " I only love you Jo I can never love anyone else" (that made me cry) but Jo was right to turn him down because she did not feel the same and she didn't want to lie to him. She wanted Laurie to be happy and she knew that the marriage wouldn't have been the right thing for them. Laurie left and went back to Europe, leaving Jo sad but determined to chase her dream.
Amy loved to draw so she went to France with her aunt to find a suitable mate to marry because she wanted to marry for money and she had already had someone in mind Named Fred. While she was there she ran into Laurie and she was so excited to see him, he was also happy to see her. They would spend some time together and she would draw him, but one day he asked her not to marry Fred with the intent that she should marry him instead. She felt taken aback by his request but she also felt disgusted because that would mean that she was second best next to Jo and that he only ask her that because he couldn't get the girl of his dreams. she was mad at him for treating her this way because she always loved him despite that he used to love Jo but she could not say yes to Fred either when he had asked her to marry him because she loves Laurie too much. Sadly, Beth passed away while Amy was in France and she had to go back home to her family. On her way back Laurie came and she told him that she said no to Fred but she told him that she did not expect him to marry her; he looked at her and kissed her with so much intensity that it was undeniably obvious that he was quite smitten with her! they were so excited that they got married on their way back. So she married for love and wealth because Laurie was also rich.
Jo was devastated to see her sister Beth go, she began to wonder if she had made the wrong choice with turning Laurie down because she felt so lonely and empty. But when her mother asked her if she loved him, she could not respond because she would only marry him because she just wants to be loved but her mother reminded her that "loving someone is not the same thing as being loved" but she felt too lonely to care. she wrote him a later to tell him how much she miss him and how she regretted not marrying him, she put the letter in the little box they used to share letters when they were younger at their tree house because she knew that Laurie was coming back. But when he came he told her that he married her sister Amy and that they couldn't wait; she was shocked and a little sad but she wanted to be happy for her sister because she had already lost one. She went back and take her letter back because Laurie was already married. so she throws herself in her writing and she finally wrote a beautiful novel called "little women" and she had it published...
It was a beautiful movie and perhaps my favorite one, you should watch it although I told you what happened if you watch the movie you will love it even more. There are some scenes I just simply could not describe because you would have to see it for yourself ! so please check it out :)

Perfectionism as Google defines it as " the need to be or appear to be perfect or even to believe that it's possible to achieve perfection" and it even goes further explaining it as a " refusal to accept any standard short of perfection"
I am sad to say that I am a perfectionist, but I used to take pride in that. It took me 25 years to realize that being perfect has its flaws and although it may sound great to have a perfect life, the perfect job, or the perfect relationship; I am sorry to burst anyone's bubble but all of that is a lie. Nothing is or was ever perfect, I am human and despite the fact that I still think that I could achieve anything close to being perfect is actually sad. Although I will always give my all in anything that I do but I need to accept that I am a human with flaws and I can never make everyone happy.
Perhaps some of you have felt the same way but I am tired of trying to look perfect all the time when I know that I could never be. It is so bad that some days I won't eat, sleep or even drink water until I am done with a task. I can't relax until the house looks the way I want it to look or I don't feel good if the laundry is not done on that particular day. Some would say that those things are great habits to have but I know that the way that I want to get it done is not normal.
Looking perfect all the time or trying to sound perfect all the time is exhausting and sometimes people really have no idea who you are. I am never hiding in my writing because that is the only thing I vowed to be authentic all the way about besides doing my best to please God. I am growing up and some of the things I wanted in the past aren't necessarily what I want today. I now see the glass half full and I will do my best to get further away from perfection because that is simply attainable.
Last year, I've learned so many life lessons! about friendships, romantic pursuits, work, people, family, change, sadness, happiness, being alone, and most importantly starting over.
Gosh, where did the years go? when I started this blog at 16 years old! I am so glad I did because I love watching myself grow over the years.
Thank you all :)
