I used to be offended when people asked me if I was still in high school when I was 20 years old but now, I take it as a compliment because honey I am not getting any younger! I am 26 years old, and I still look like I am in high school. If I was an actress, I could still play high school roles, I don't think it's because I am doing anything different, but it could be because I didn't start wearing makeup until I was 19 going on 20 years old because makeup age the skin.
As I am looking at this new generation, they are already wearing a full face of makeup at 15 years old, and all that makeup cause premature aging, so they look 21 years old while in high school. All I wore at 16 was lip glosses and I was in my eyeliner phase in high school too but nothing else. I still don't wear that much makeup now either and I am not being a pick me girl saying " I hate makeup I never wear any makeup on my face" while they are wearing minimal makeup with lashes extensions. No, I really don't. My full-face makeup is what the girls call it " the no makeup look" it is very natural and if my skin looks bad it will even show because I don't have that much coverage. I love looking at makeup looks but when it is done on me it looks weird, if I wear too much makeup, I feel like my face is heavy and I can't even touch my face because the foundation will come off. I do touch my face a lot and that is a bad habit, but I have gotten better at not touching it too much.
When I have kids and if they are girls, I will not let them wear makeup until they are 18 years old because trust me it is worth it to wait because your face will remain the same without all the makeup messing it up. I am glad my mom didn't let me wear makeup because I look soo young now, I am loving it.
