I feel like everyone has gone through a bad day because life is everything but predictable, perhaps while you were going through that hard time you didn't think you were going to make it but you did and you will do it again. Those tips are what I do when I am having a bad day, and maybe they can help you too.
- drink water: when you don't feel like your best you might tend to neglect your nutritious needs but please drink plenty of water because being dehydrated will only make you feel worse.
- try to eat your favorite meal. You may not feel like cooking so order your favorite meal online and enjoy it because you deserve it.
- drink a glass of wine. I don't like drinking alcohol for personal reasons but if you drink then you can treat yourself with some wine but not the whole bottle.
- watch your favorite movie or show. I love watching cartoon classics and every Audrey Hepburn movie I own.
- read a book. Pick up a very interesting book and start reading to distract your mind.
- put your phone down. When you are anxious your might do some mindless scrolling and that will only make you feel worse. when that happens to me I just delete Instagram, Twitter, or any other social media and just focus on something else.
- work out.
- sleep.
- play with a pet.
- call someone.
- write.
- clean your house and complete any chores you've been avoiding
- pamper yourself. Get your nails or hair done.
- take a shower. clean yourself up and take care of your appearance because if you look good on the outside you will feel better on the inside.
- take a walk in the park or anywhere fun. I need to do that because I literally don't get enough sunlight!
- draw. I am not good at drawing but I try anyway and sometimes I surprise myself.
- help someone. When you help someone else it stops you from overthinking, and it always feels better to give than to receive.
- listen to a podcast. That's all I do when I am having a bad day, I love listening to anything goes with Emma Chamberlain and I even watch her videos on youtube.
- dance around the house.
- listen to your favorite song. I literally have a playlist dedicated for when I am having a hard day.
- try to imagine your ideal life or your ideal day. Yes, I daydream a lot and it's a form of escapism for me.
