Throughout my years of living, I've been learning constantly that material things really don't solve all of the earth's problems. If you're sick a purse is not going to cure it, if you're homeless a Gucci underwear isn't going to keep you safe. If you struggle with spending, don't be embarrassed just take some time to straighten out your priorities... I am not perfect and I am not Mrs. Saving money for a rainy day. I shop just because I am sad which is never the solution. Actually, the person who gives the best advice has been through it all and I have.
I know that buying sounds exciting but before you buy anything ask yourself 3 questions: do I need this right now? do I have something similar at home? where will I wear this to?

It is a 1983 movie, a classic if you ask me and it's one of my favorite movies! I am watching it tonight. I love movies from the 1980s because it's my favorite era. I love the music, the clothes, the people...I know it was not perfect back then and that there were a lot more racism, social issues, and a lot of messed-up stuff but I still love the aesthetic.
The movie featured Alex a dancer, a hardworking girl and very independent, who works in a factory as well as a dancer. She got the best of both worlds meaning a strong independent woman who works in a field that normally a man would work in and she is also a beautiful yet talented dancer. I love how she is very strong-minded and willing to fight for what is right I truly love that movie a lot.

It's actually a movie on Netflix right now and it's not my favorite one but it is enjoyable if you feel like watching it, fair warning there will be some spoilers if you read this before watching the movie. Just skip ahead and read the last paragraph if you want to watch the movie.
The movie started out with a girl named Emma on the plane where she met a guy (I forgot his name!) and there was some turbulence on the flight; she started panicking and she told him every secret there is to know about her starting with her job, love life, sex life, friends, her fears and insecurities... she told him everything someone would write in their journal but she didn't care because she thought she was going to die, but she didn't. Turns out she got off the plane and went to work to only find that the guy she was sitting next to and blabbing all of her secrets to his actually her boss, yikes! Well anyway, he didn't seem to mind. He was cool about it and he thought that she was very interesting, they went out on a date and they hit it off... fast forward they got in a relationship and things were moving fast for her. She would continue telling him about all of her fears and she was so honest while totally being herself. She started telling her roommates that she was in love! whoah I know I mean she was falling in love with the guy but he seemed to be distant at times. He would always have secret phone calls and always texting... she sometimes felt alone but she was still happy to be in his presence. They were working at a marketing firm and the guy went to give an interview about a product live on national television and he started describing the girl he was designing a product for and the girl was Emma but he didn't say her name, he said most of her secrets live starting from her looks which was a very tale sign that the girl was her. The people at the office started to realize that and they started to make fun of her. She felt humiliated because she spilled her heart out and he betrayed her by telling everyone what she told him after he promised he wouldn't...but like all rom-coms they made up and they live happily ever after whatever!
Okay no here's my opinion the fact that she told a whole stranger about all of her secrets is weird! but I don't get it because I am a private person. Like who would tell of their secrets on the plane if they thought they were dying ?! I would be too stunned to speak but anyway let's forget about all of that it is, in fact, a movie. Some people would say that she was wrong for dating a guy who knew too much about her but call me crazy I think that this is a great thing! do you know how beautiful it is for someone to know every little thing about you and I am not talking about how cute you sound when you sneeze I am talking about the hard stuff! like how you're afraid of heights, afraid of airplanes, can't eat your food if all the ingredients are mixed together, can't sleep in the dark, have trust issues....and more stuff but yet they still chose to stay! that is beautiful and to me, that is real love. She said that she never fell in love and I relate I don't know what love is but I have an idea of what it might be, and I think that part of the storyline was magical minus the unnecessary drama. Her roommate with the crazy wardrobe was the best one! But I have another point she did fall in love too quick because he wasn't telling her anything about himself. She fell in love with a stranger besides what she knew he could do in bed everything was just a complete blur... I will agree that was a dumb move but who am I to judge someone who falls in love too quickly? ok, watch the movie !! :)

As the title clearly states I am actually going to write about my current obsession. Things aren't too well in my life but I am beyond grateful for my family especially my parents, all of my family, all my friends, Archie, and I am beyond grateful for books that are currently saving me from the negativity around me. If Books did not exist I don't know who I would be.
1. my first obsession is with books especially novels, all the classics, poetry, and biography from all of my favorite writers. I am always buying books and if I am not buying them I am renting them or borrowing them. I can't recall a time in my life when I was not reading a book, even if it took me months to finish it but I will always have a book in mind.
2. Michael Jackson. That is no surprise because I've always been in love with his music especially his album Thriller, bad and Dangerous, I am completely in love with his 1984 appearance he was sooooooooooooo handsome and hot omg I can't I literally, watch the 1984 American music awards just because he won so many awards that night. I mean I am well aware of all the allegations and all the things the press said about him but honestly I never focus on the personal aspect of his life. I always thought that he was a great singer and an all-time amazing performer. He was a perfectionist and I am as well... I kinda understand why he was so passionate when he talked about his work.
3. Oversized mugs. I don't know what's the deal with big mugs but I just love them lol I love drinking hot tea and cozying up in my bed with a great book or a great movie on.
4. Timothee Chalamet. I love Timmy so much! He is so cute and awkward yet so confident like how? I love to watch anything that he is in. He's probably the only well know person I want to meet.
