I just wrote something about premenstrual dysphoric disorder, if you struggle with that I feel for you. People think it's not that bad for women to experienced their period every month ( well only insensitive men think that) . and it sucks! like sometimes I feel like I would rather die. Besides all the cramps you also have to deal with your hormones making you feel emotional, depressed, unmotivated, hopeless and feeling so disgusting.

If I am getting in a relationship with someone they need to understand that this is no joke! it's hell. They will need to treat me with utmost care and love for those 3 days. It's the extreme sadness, the anger, being so irritable and then feeling sorry for acting like a jerk afterwards. Thank God it doesn't last because I would die.

During those times I usually:

  • turn off my phone.
  • stay off social media.
  • cry for hours.
  • watch rom-coms then cry some more.
  • force my cats to snuggle with me but Archie loves cuddling now so it's fine.
  • eat so much then cry because I gain weight.

things that helps

  • heating pads to help with the cramps.
  • rest and taking naps all day.
  • keeping my environment clean.
  • watch funny movies and videos.
  • call someone who's sweet and caring.
  • acknowledge that this is just temporary and that it will all go back to normal soon.
  • take pain killers but only when the cramps are getting worse.

PMS

Publié par Gaelle.R

It's pain to cry every month,

and bleed all over the place.

It's pain feeling my whole life falling apart all in one day.

It's pain feeling all the serotonin leaving my body,

crying for hours feeling all alone.

some doesn't get to experienced this,

I envy them.

Some feels less emotional,

but I get the whole shabam.

based on my body image and weight: in America I am normal and average but in African continent I am skinny! And in France I am fat !! Isn’t it insane how the beauty standards varied from everywhere you go?? So in the end you just have to believe in yourself and in your beauty

beauty tips

Publié par Gaelle.R

This is for anyone not just for girls.

1. always stay clean. That is the number one rule! always shower at least 2 times a day. keep your clothes clean and wash your hair weekly if you have an afro and daily if it's always greasy. Never wear your gym outfit out to meet someone, you can go grocery shopping after your workout shesh but I wouldn't recommend it if you sweat a lot! and that's not embarrassing at all it's totally normal to sweat when you are working out.

2. always wear deodorant. Please don't ever get those natural deodorants you will sweat through them so get yourself something that will last at least 24 hours and something that will give you full coverage even if you are running around and sweating all day. I always get those powder dry fast sprayed deodorants because they don't leave white marks on my dark clothes.

3. keep your teeth clean and healthy. Try to get a good dentist and get a cleaning every 6 months, always floss daily and brush your teeth twice a day ( once in the morning and once at night) don't eat a lot of sweets to avoid getting cavities

4. go to a dermatologist. If you get a mole out of nowhere always get it checked by a dermatologist. you don't need to have acne or any visible skin condition to go to a dermatologist. They have great advice on how to keep your skin clean, my dermatologist is super nice but she hates it that I wear makeup twice a week... she hates the idea of makeup but I take every other advice she gives me and a huge part of my skin is so flawless now if only that little part of my right side could corporate! see we are never satisfied a year ago I would've given anything to have at least a small part of my clear but now that almost my whole face is clear I am complaining! anyway always seek a dermatologist for any skin-related issues.

5. have a skincare routine. wash your face after every makeup and every night, and keep it simple because lots of products clog your skin and will give you acne. I find the cetaphil soap bar cleanser to be a safe choice and that's all I've been using for about a year now.

6. always wear sunscreen. your dermatologist will tell you the same thing and it will be the best decision you ever made. even if your skin has a lot of melanin you can still get sunburn and you can still get skin cancer from too much uv rays exposure. If you have struggled with acne and you have dark spots then you should definitely wear sunscreen because you will get more dark spots and your skin will take longer to get clear. Sunscreen is always a good choice.

7. always wear clothes that make you feel like yourself. the first thing people see is your appearance and what you wear so take your time to figure out what you want to wear and pick something that shows exactly who you are or who you want to become.

8. use hydrating liquid skin cleanser. trust me it will help keep your skin soft and vibrant whereas the bar soap dries out your skin

I love extroverts, they are so fun and outgoing. It's weird but I have a special kind of love for extroverts because they bring the happy and silly side out of me! they help me break out my shell and be free. I also love introverts but I love extroverts more lol :)))

diet.

Publié par Gaelle.R

I don't know how to feel... I've gained 5 pounds and I didn't really plan on gaining weight, I was afraid of going down this rabbit hole again which is obsessing about my weight. I went through so much those past 2 years! but I am fine with what I look now and 5 pounds is not a lot.

I think having a great and healthy diet will help keeping your weight in check but sometimes not even your diet can save you! Some medications can make you gain so much weight, genetics play a role in that too... I think there is more to life than obsessing about one's appearance. Truly I am trying to be happy and to remain happy for as long as I can, I hate being sad and feeling hopeless. I hate stressing about things that really doesn't matter and one thing I try to have is the "so what" mentality like so what I don't have any close friends? at least I am close with my mom, so what I made a mistake? we all make mistakes. For the first time in my life I am not caring about what people think of me or whether or not they like me and by doing that I feel happier, more confident and free to do whatever I want...

MJ's Legacy.

Publié par Gaelle.R

Nothing piss me off more than people from the music industry trying to silence Michael Jackson's music; as you all might know by now I am a big fan of his music and the only reason why I wish I was alive in the 1980s is only because of him and also Madonna but mostly Michael Jackson.

He has broken so many barriers in history, he paved the whole way for black artist! he was the first black artist to be shown on MTV and he made MTV popular when he did Billie jean but now MTV doesn't want to play him simply because of the "child abused allegations" which he was acquitted of all charges ! he went to court and was found not guilty so what more do you want? even the kid that accused him confessed that it was a lie and that his parents made him do it... so what more do they need???? anyway all of that will not make me celebrate his music because clearly all those allegations was false because the FBI followed him for years and they found nothing on him. He was weird sure but so are a lot of other artist but they would rather focus on the black man who already had vitiligo, had many nose jobs blah blah… I don't care about all of this I just love his music and his childish demeanor.

I think he was the hottest man alive especially from the years 1979-1993 ! I thought he was so handsome, so ahead of his time, so generous, so sweet, so beautiful... I would've love to meet him and to give him a hug.:)
