Addressing the elephant in the room:

As you can see from my visual blog or in real life, I am wearing braids/twist with extensions. Shocking I know! Normally I am against it, and I am still not for it. I wanted to try something different, and I loved it for the first couple of days and now I am halfway week one and I am ready to take it down. I will take it down next weekend. I won't start getting braids again because it's not my thing and I would be wasting a lot of money for no reason because I wouldn't leave them in my hair for more than 2 weeks. I can't do any long braids, they're itchy. I miss my hair and I love my hair too much to hide or to even take a break from it.

I got some comments like "finally you did your hair? wow you look so beautiful" those comments don't change anything my hair was done when my afro was out and I was still beautiful then. If anything, I miss my hair sooo much right now I can't wait to run a comb through it and deep condition it next weekend :)

Jours 3

Ecclésiaste 1:11-16

Salomon parle un peu de sa sagesse, même lui qui a acquis beaucoup de sagesse plus que les autres roi d’Israël il n’avait pas d’autant sagesse que Jéhovah.

Il mentionne « J’ai vu toutes les œuvres qui se font sous le soleil, et, voyez, tout est futile, c’est comme courir après le vent »

Ce que moi je retiens en particulier c’est quand on meurt tout est terminé : l’argent, notre relation avec les autres, les chose matérielles qu’on a pu avoir ne servira à rien dans la tombe, mais ce qui restera toujours c’est notre amour pour Dieu et tout ce qu’on a fait pour le servir. Toutes les autres choses sont futiles. Bien sûr qu’on a besoin d’argent, de l’amour, de l’amitié, le sentiment d’être appartenir …mais ce qui compte vraiment avant toute autre chose c’est notre relation solide avec Jéhovah.

This summer I started working out 7 days a week, I started doing it for about 9 weeks straight. Normally I work out 6 days a week but working out 7 days a week took a toll on me not so much where I would notice the decline, but after last weekend when I was forced to take a 3-day break, I realize how much I needed that break!

My brain has been on go mode, I haven't really had any time to rest and I needed it. Each time I get ready for the gym I mentally prepare myself to be strong and to spend energy, that in itself requires mental strength. I am not complaining I love working out, but I need a day for myself where I don't think about the treadmill, a dumbbell or anything. Just a day for me to relax and just be just as I have been doing in the past. That day for me is sunday (If I do workout, it should be a light run outside every other week). I need a rest day because I don't joke when I work out, I get in and lock in and each set require strength both mentally and psychically, so I need a day to de-stress and decompartmentalize.

I stopped taking creatine for 1-2 months now, but I am starting to take it again because I realize I have better focus and I lift heavier on creatine. My goals are still the same (back muscles, well developed biceps when I flex, big glutes, small waist) my faorite muscle group to work out is back and legs.

Jours 2

Ecclésiaste 1-6-10

Dans ces versets je vois le cycle de la vie, comment le vent va vers le sud et tourne vers le nord… le vent fait et refait son circuit. Même si tous les cours d’eau vont vers la mer mais pourtant la mer ne remplisse jamais.

Il y a beaucoup de choses et se serait lassante de tout les mentionner. Mais pourtant l’œil ne se rassasie pas de voir et l’oreille ne se remplit pas d’entendre.

Dans ces verset je vois un peu les merveilles de Jehovah. Comment il a créé la terre une façon pour qu’on soit tous à l’aise et comment il m’a créer une façon pour que je me rassasie de tout mes senses.

I do my bible reading in French because it helps me reconnect with my childhood when I used to read the bible a lot in French. Did I tell you guys the summer I was sooo depressed which was in 2011 I read the book of psalms over and over in French the entire summer. Obviously it is a long book but some verses I read every night because I had suicidal thoughts and I didn’t know what to do and a therapist wasn’t an option so I turn to Jehovah.

Jour 1

Lecture pour aujourd’hui

Ecclésiaste 1:1-5

Ces paroles sont écrit par le fils de David, le roi Salomon: il dit que tout est futile ça paraît un peu triste mais il dit cela parce qu’on peut travailler très dur pour achevé une chose en particulière ou pour gagner beaucoup de richesse mais à la fin on meurt ? Parce qu’une génération s’en va et une génération autre vient ( ce que moi je retire c’est que le fait de passer tout mon temps a travaillé très dur pour acquérir des richesse matériaux pourquoi je ne me concentre pas plutôt a acquérir des richesses spirituelles ?)

La terre demeura pour toujours ( une vérité biblique qui met en évidence que le paradis sera sur terre en quoi ça sert d’aller au ciel si la terre restera pour toujours )

Les choses vont et viennent mais la terre, les cieux, le soleil et Dieu resteront pour toujours.

This weekend was convention which means I didn't work out for 3 days and I didn't read much...but it was sooo worth it. I would put a dent in my routine for Jehovah any day but after him no one can break my routine that easily. I am very OCD I have to do what I need to do otherwise my whole day is thrown off and I feel weird. If I have an emergency or I am sick and I can't meet all of my goals then that's fine but if I can then there's no way I won't try. I love my discipline when it comes to working out and reading books, I just need that same discipline for my spiritual life. My goal is to be a pioneer but I am not there yet, I won't sell myself short I know when I need to work on myself and right now that's just what I need to do. I do read the bible, but I am not consistent with it.

Starting today here's a goal we will read maximum 5 verses daily and we will take notes (I will share some of what I learn not all because some will be personal) since I am reading soo many books and I have no problems meeting my goals why not do the same for my bible reading?

This year one of my goal was to have a more solid spiritual routine and I am going to keep trying :) it's hard being the only person in the household who's serving Jehovah. I have no one holding me accountable but myself. I am very self aware, I know what I need to work on... that's what I love about myself.

Spain versus Argentina

Two teams I couldn’t care any less about, I wanted France to win the World Cup we all know that. But if France didn’t win, I would want Portugal, Norway, England, even Cape Verde to win. I don’t like Spain because of Barcelona fc, and I am a fan of Real Madrid. I don’t like Argentina actually no I hate Argentina and the hatred I have for them is so strong that I am glad that Spain won the World Cup. Argentinians are racist, entitled, and overall Crazy fans. I am not a fan of Messi and I’ve never been a fan of Messi but I can tolerate hi. So yeah whatever I stop caring about the World Cup when both France and England lost.

I am so glad that Kylian Mbappé won the golden boot, and being the all-time top World Cup scorer.

The love I have for myself has kept me away from a lot of bad situation. There’s a lot of problems I don’t have and I am very fortunate. I never say “it can never be me” because it could in fact be you! Except having 4 babies by 4 different men at that point that’s a choice… but I love myself so much that low minimum efforts don’t sway me in any way.

The man who will be mine will have to work hard to get me and to keep me. I am very ocd I like what I like and if I don’t like what you’re offering then I’m gone. I need a lot of things, I need princess treatment. A lot of men can currently give that to me but I don’t have feelings for them at all. I won’t pretend to love someone to use them, even if they could potentially help me I will let them be. I hate men who want to use me, give me bare minimum, don’t check in call or text me at all or for weeks and then come into my life wanting to get all of my attention. At that point leave me alone. I need you to call me daily, tell me I’m beautiful, take nice pictures of me, pick out my outfits (the choices that I give you), hold my hand, hold the doors for me… those are actually bare minimum! One of my love languages is deep and meaningful conversations. I love that, you have to be able to stimulate my mind in different languages. We need to talk all the time about any and everything. I hate phone calls but for the man I love he has all my attention.
