I’m going through the luteal phase at the moment. The worse phase in the whole menstrual cycle, I feel exhausted, hungry, angry and the weights feel 10 times heavier at the gym.

I am struggling mentally because of this cycle some months are better than others but we are approaching summer and I tend to get really depressed in the summer. Most of my worse depressive episodes happened in the summer! Let’s hope this one is good to me like last year although I can’t remember most of last summer. I think it was good. The irony is I have more trouble getting out of bed now at 4 am than I did in the winter months! Summer and me do not mesh well. I hate the heat… the only I like is the beach and not having to wear a coat or sweater all the time especially when I don’t feel like it.

" Every memory a constant reminder of what will never be.

Every promises unaccomplished.

Every word a lie.

I didn't matter to you then,

and I don't matter to you now.

I just wish I could be wrong.

But I know I'm not."

The crash documentary on Netflix is a perfect example of how a toxic relationship can ruin someone’s life. Mackenzie sharilla drove her car into a building killing her boyfriend Dominic and his friend Davion who was an innocent bystander. She claimed this was a tragic accident and she remembered nothing. It didn’t look suspicious at first because she was also in the car, although she didn’t die but she had a few broken bones and she was in the hospital for a while. Soon police discovered how toxic the relationship was. The way she was acting after the accident was very suspicious as well.

Dominic would try to break up with her and she wouldn’t let him, she would outright say no. I’ve seen sooo many texts where Dominic is trying to tell her they need to separate but instead she would call him 100s of times and spam his phone! That’s not okay. I blame these female rappers teaching those kids to Call a man’s phone 160 times until he pick up, to key his car, to fight a man, to rob him, to break into his house! Like no that’s not okay that’s a felony charge! If a man has to block you in order for you to leave him alone, you’re the problem! Poor Dominic he had to suffer through all of her antics until she finally snapped and killed him. If someone is obsessed with you, calling you non stop, coming to your house uninvited, stalking you… you’re in danger, it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or woman you need to take this seriously and report it to some people and possibly the authorities. Mackenzie’s mentality was if I can’t have you then no one else will! That’s dangerous! And now she’s in jail where she needs to be. If someone wants to leave, let them go. Stop glamorizing toxic relationships because it can literally kill you.

This month I have been reading psychological suspense, mystery and fiction. So far I love the books I’ve been reading, some made me cry and some left me speechless! Dear Debbie was a really fun read.

My favorite authors in this genre are Alice Feeney, my all time favorite Freida McFadden which that’s not even her real name! She’s a doctor and she didn’t want the patients to talk about her books she went under a fake name lol! I love her she wrote dear Debbie actually, Jennifer Ruff there’s always a hint of detective … so far that’s all I got but there will be more.

I did finish two books this weekend !

I started the other woman yesterday while on the treadmill and finished it this afternoon

in the book Janey is despicable! There’s a special place for people like her and it’s in a mental hospital. The fact that she tried to murder her soon to be ex husband in the beginning because he was leaving her for a better life is crazy! I mean the woman beats him and she wonder why he wouldn’t stay with her?!. Poor Ben who had to witness his father being beaten by that woman on a surveillance camera! Although I don’t condone adultery and I would prefer that Alex left Janey before he started seeing Rowan but it already happened. Janey didn’t want to let Alex go. Yes Rowan was the other woman, but she is kind and not crazy like Janey. I am glad that Ben finally got the family he always wanted with Janey and his sister Celeste. I love how the story takes place in France with the occasional french sentences here and there.

It was a great story if this thought me anything is that men can be abused to by their wives. There’s no shame in admitting it but I understand, men have a lot of pride so admitting the abuse is like stuffing a tail in between their legs.

Truth is I am chronically online even if I have a very productive life. I read a lot, work out 7 days a week, wake up at the crack of dawn daily and sleep 8-9 hours most days. When I am reading I normally check my phone after I complete a chapter, which is when I check my instagram answer a dm or watch a funny reel then go back to reading. It takes me less than 30 minutes to finish a chapter and it takes me less than 3 minutes to quickly check my phone. Yes I am busy but if I see a text, or a DM from someone I know or someone I want to answer to I will answer it right away. I can’t stand people who pretend they’re too busy to answer, well I am and I will answer you if I see your notification. If I don’t answer then I simply don’t want to.

If I wasn’t working I would probably read 5 books a week. For example this week end I am taking a break from the world meaning I am not driving more than 10 miles away from my home. I am away from everything and I’m just simply reading. I need to decompress and take care of myself. I don’t want any company and no I don’t want to talk I just want to be home reading. Nothing is wrong I just want space I normally do this after I feel overwhelmed. I plan on reading 2 books this 3 day weekend. I finished one book today that I started reading last night. I will start another book tomorrow morning while on the treadmill and hopefully finish it by Monday or tomorrow night  if the plot is good.

That’s not my name book was something!

This story broke me! The beginning and the overall plot is great but that ending wasn’t necessary. The police officers in town were useless, Drew had to turned detective to find Lola. 3 kids solved a murder plot and saved countless of girls from being abducted and gave the families of all the missing girls that man kidnapped and killed closure. I’m glad Maddison got home safe to her mom. All this time I was reading about Mary I thought it was Lola. But Lola died the very next day 😭 this whole time I was reading about Madison. That ending truly broke me

Dear Debbie !

This woman is what a psychopath disguised as a sweet housewife looks like. She will smile and your face, act like everything is fine and dandy but then break into your house in the middle of the night to put incriminating evidence in your house. To then call the police and tipped them about what you have inside your house next you know you’re being arrested and here she is casually driving by acting all concerned “oh gee I wonder what all this ruckus is all about”

She’s the type of person you mistreat because you think what is she going to do she looks so defenseless and innocent! But then 30 years later she frame you for murder not just one but two murders! Then she go back to her house baking brownies all happy with her family! Dude she’s insane!

I loved this book. When I started I couldn’t put it down. It’s easy to read, the plot is captivating ! I love it
