well technically I work out 7 days a week now but on Sundays I take it easy it's more of an active rest day, I either walk for 1 hour on the treadmill or I jog a little. I will take more jogs in the morning especially on Sundays. I am trying to run 3 times a week ugh...I don't know how I will achieve that because my schedule is already packed with my gym sessions at 5 am but let see because I also want to join a running club but I need to train more in other to get better, faster and lighter.
I am shopping around for new running shoes it's between Hoka or New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5. I love new balance all my gym shoes are new balance.
here's some advice from chat
If you’re choosing between them:
- Go with HOKA Clifton 9 if you want:
- comfort
- injury prevention
- easier miles
- beginner-friendly cushioning
- something forgiving on joints
- Go with New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 if you want:
- a faster, more fun ride
- lighter shoes
- workouts/tempo runs
- more “bounce” and responsiveness
A lot of runners describe the Rebel v5 as more exciting, while the Clifton is more dependable and comfortable. Reviewers consistently praise the Rebel’s lightweight versatility, while also noting less stability and durability than more traditional daily trainers.
Reddit opinions are similar:
- Clifton users often like the support and comfort for higher mileage.
- Rebel v5 users frequently describe it as “fun” and surprisingly quick.
For most newer runners:
- Clifton = safer pick
- Rebel v5 = more fun pick
