Tips when traveling alone ( especially if you’re a girl and you’re pretty wow be very careful)
- Never tell strangers the day and time you’re leaving and the day you’re coming back.
- When you get to the airport don’t talk to anyone even if someone strike a conversation with you smile and pretend you don’t understand. Have you ever watched the movie taken? Strangers talk to you in the airport and find out where you’re staying only to come and kidnap you.
- There are a lot of human trafficking in Europe and all around the world
- Never share a taxi with a stranger because they will find out where you get off and you never want anyone to know the exact location you’re going to be
- Share you location with a family member or someone you trust
- Tell that person you trust that you will call them every night when you get back to the hotel and that if you don’t call them something happened to you and to contact the police in that area
- Take a martial art class or boxing to defend yourself if you ever need it before traveling if you can’t then take a pepper spray with you.
- If a stranger or someone you don’t trust keep asking where you’re going to be then lie never tell them the exact day you’re leaving or the day you’re coming back. You don’t want strangers to know where you’re going to be.
- Also make sure you understand the language of the place you’re going to be so that you can communicate with the people there.
- If you get kidnapped or taken have someone on speed dial call them and let them hear what’s going on so that they can report it to the police. Make sure you leave your DNA behind it can be your hair, blood, nails but leave something
- When you get in your hotel room take a video of the room and send it to someone (that same person you call every night) take pictures of the surrounding area around the hotel.
- Lock your hotel room at all times and use the extra lock never let anyone in even house keeping tell them to only come in when you leave the room ( they aren’t suppose to clean while you’re there anyway it’s awkward)
- Never come back to your hotel room at the same time when you go out; spread out the time sometimes come early and sometimes come late
- Never let strangers in your area know where you are staying even if they are cute, never let anyone take you out on a date alone or to a party.
- If they ask what are you doing in the country always say visiting family even if you know no one. Always pretend you have someone with you or coming.
- Don’t wear things that attract attention, wear a lot of black and always look around when you’re walking. Never be distracted you need to know if someone is following you or if someone is watching you. If you someone following you and you see a police station or a government building walk in there if not, walk In a restaurant and tell the waiter someone is following you. If the person is in front of the restaurant or in there discreetly tell the waiter who it is and tell them to call the police, then pretend nothing is happening. Make sure get a good look at the person following you want to have a clear description when you let the police come or if the person decides to leave before they get there
- Never be too paranoid, when you are alone in a different country you are a prey! And you need to be extremely careful.
- Know the country emergency contacts for the police or ambulance; save those numbers call them if you ever need to.
- Keep your passport on you at all times, never walk around with a big bad or something that hangs over your shoulder. I put my passport inside of my clothes and I’m the one who can take it out

Signs you’re in a toxic relationship
Being in a toxic relationship is scary, at first you may not know that you are in one because of the love you have for the person, and sometimes even after realizing that it may still be hard for you to leave. But I am here to tell you that no marriage is worth more than your life and no one is supposed to treat you like trash. You are extraordinary and God took his time to create you, don’t even feel like you have to stay with someone to please them or because you are afraid of what people will think. Always put yourself first and walk away, your safety is your priority.
here are some subtle signs.
- Your partner calls you non stop when you are out hanging out with other people and they get really upset when you don’t pick up the phone even when you tell them you’re hanging out with friends.
- Your partner yells at you instead of communicating with you about an issue.
- Your partner calls you names and is emotionally abusive for example they may call you (stupid, not good enough, ugly) don’t ever let anyone abuse you emotionally or even physically.
- Your partner hit an object near you. Always remember first they hit something near you and then they hit you so don’t wait around to find out.
- Your partner has anger issues and they take it out on you. Anyone who has an anger issue and who is not willing to work on it is dangerous. That person can kill you in a fit of rage; baby just leave.
- They drive recklessly when you’re in the car anyone who doesn’t take life seriously is dangerous!
- They dictate everything you do! From what you wear to what you eat! That is soooo toxic never let anyone have power over you. Even God gave you the power to choose what you want so don’t let men tell you what to do with your life.
- They hate everything you do. If they are always criticizing you and they want to change you then that is sooo toxic and it shows you are not right for each other
- they want to know all your friends, which is not a bad thing but it becomes toxic when they always think you are cheating and they stop you from hanging out with them.
- they gaslight you when you try to tell them something that they are doing wrong, they try to make you think that you don't know what you are talking about instead of answering the question or instead of explaining what really happened.
- they threaten to kill you or to kill themselves if you ever try to leave.
- they become friends with your family quickly so that when you have a problem they can make your family turn against you
- if you feel like you are sleeping with the enemy then you probably are, leave and never come back.
- you feel like you only stay with your partner for the kids involve, I know it sucks to start over when you already have your family and your kids feel safe but what about you? are you safe? it may feel selfish for you to leave because that would mean the kids wouldn't have both parents under one roof but imagine your kids not having you around at all? that is even more selfish. Protect yourself and your babies.

I talked about this here but this is what bothers me with my fellow black women.
As a girl who has natural hair I hate it when another woman is asking me “ are you going to do your hair before the party?” Like no! My hair is done already why do I need to put a wig on my head to be ready ? Why do I need to go pay so much money to get braids? I only trust one person to install braids in my hair and she is extremely busy so if she’s not doing it so am I. But honestly I think our hair is beautiful we don’t need to hide it all the time, or wear a wig or get a weave when we go on vacation. I am not judging anyone, I’ve done that before but I am just saying let’s normalize our hair and make it okay to go anywhere with it
Let’s not associate and Afro with casual, let’s make it okay to get married in it; to go on luxurious vacation with it. Let’s be proud of we are ! We are all so beautiful let’s embrace it ;)

Things I cannot stand
- Girls who only talk about guys; if we are friends and all you talk about is man don’t be surprised if one day you call me and it goes straight to voicemail. A man is not my priority I do not care about what they are doing, if he’s not my man I don’t care what he’s up to. Even if I had a man I would not be talking about him every second with my friends that’s weird and it’s giving desperate
- People who touch my hair. Ok I get it’s different and no it’s not a wig. I don’t like it when strangers touch my hair because I don’t know where your hands have been and your dirty hands are taking out the moisture in my hair so no! Stay away from me.
- Asking me what I am up to. That annoys me because if I don’t tell you what I am doing or if you don’t know it’s probably because I don’t want you to know. Don’t push it or make a scene about how secretive I am. I am not secretive ! I am grown and I can do whatever I want; I could be out of the country writing this but it’s none of your business.
- People telling me I have too many cats. That is none of your business, it is not your life and you are not the one taking care of them so don’t worry about it.
