You can only be bothered by someone’s reaction if you let it.
you don’t have to respond, you don’t have to entertain anyone’s chaos just say okay and move on.
remaining silent is a tool that most people do not have, it makes you powerful.
You dont have to be the one talking, just be quiet and let people tell on themselves because they will if you listen really closely.

Questions I get because I wear my hair 24/7:
- Don’t you get tired of doing your hair everyday?
No I don’t because I don’t do my hair everyday. I do my hair once a week! I wash my hair on Sundays twist them and put it away until I need to wear my hair out again. So yes I wake up and go daily unless I have somewhere special to go to my hair will be in twist.
- Don’t you get bored of your hair?
Believe it or not I don’t get bored at all! I used to hate seeing my hair out. I used to love wigs, braids or any hair extensions but now I can’t stand them. I love my hair just the way it is and putting extensions in my hair irritates my scalp and gives me headaches.
- Do you do your hair one way?
There’s a lot of hairstyles I can do with my hair but I get lazy at times and do the same thing over and over again lol but as long as I am not damaging my hair then that’s all that matters to me. I do switch it up when I feel like it.

The month of may is trying to take me out!

Self care
Everyone’s self care is different and I never judge or picture everyone doing the same things I do to take care of myself. For some people eating a good meal, cooking or laying in the bed doing nothing is a form of self care.
For me self care is going to the gym, getting my nails done, cooking, taking a nice shower, skin care routine, cleaning my space, sleeping, eating a healthy meal, watching a movie after work, drinking water, talking to the people I love, hanging out with my cats. I need all of those things to survive because they all make me happy! I am a very chill girl. I don’t need a lot to be happy, just the small things make me love life.

A little reminder that When you get married this person has a lot of power over you, more than you realize. That person has the power to tell the doctor how to proceed if you can’t. Let that sink in. Do you trust your partner to make serious life altering decisions on your behalf?
Honestly If you cannot trust that person to be your emergency contact, then simple don’t marry them!
You need someone you have complete trust in. Not just someone who can fold you like a beach chair, someone with a beautiful jawline, 6’4, beautiful face, text back quick but someone who will call the funeral home when your parents passed away and you are too emotional to Do it. You need someone who will hold you in your dark times, someone who will be there when you’re crying at 3 am while the baby is screaming in the background, someone who still finds you hot in an adult diaper after you have just finished given birth. Someone who can spend 11 hours at the hospital with you because you’re sick or your parents are sick. Someone who will carry you and support you through hardships like a miscarriage or infertility. Love is so superficial nowadays even if someone of us hate to admit it but physical attributes seems to matter more than actual love! Chemistry and sexual tension are not love!
Love is commitment, a constant need to make someone’s life better, a deep desire to be around someone because their presence brings you peace. When your heart is beating fast my dear you better run! Love should not give you anxiety it should make you feel whole without the constant need to perform to keep someone interested.
Marriage is a lifelong commitment and it should never be taken lightly. You need someone you trust to lead you, not a guy with the biggest muscles but the guy with the biggest heart who’s kind and prioritized you. Until I find all of this I am more than happy to stay single with my 2 beautiful cats.

If any of you see me with a man just know he worked day and night to get me to stay with him. To get me to talk to you daily! To update you! To stay by your side as a man is hard work if I don’t already love you or even see a future with you. Men was never my priority! I am literally reading the book “how to date men when you hate men” I have been through so much that dating terrifies me. For that reason if a man don’t initiate any form of contact with me they will never hear from me. He doesn’t call, I don’t call either; he doesn’t set up a date then he won’t see; he doesn’t have a plan then I’m not coming. I am very self sufficient! I could be a maneater if I wanted to but I don’t have the heart to make men suffer. I am a child of God I move intentionally, therefore if I’m not interested in you I will not lead you on. I am a very busy girl so when I make time for a man it’s something! I don’t even let men touch me!
At times I would give my friends advice about dating men and they would say well you’ve never dated so you don’t know, I always say” the coach don’t play” lol I’m the best person to give a girl advise on dating men because my opinion is not biased and my advice come from a place of love not hurt or past traumas.

my energy is depleted and I’m not even halfway through the cycle… I’m exhausted and I am eating a lot. I have so much to do today and all I want is to stay in bed.

things that make me happy
Let's create a list of things that make us happy, I'll go first :)
- cats, it doesn't even have to be my cats! I can see a random cats on the street and I am smiling and chasing it lol. Or online I love looking at cats, I think God created them to make me happy lol because he knew I would have a hard time on earth.
- flowers, I love receiving them and I love giving them. They're sooo beautiful and they make feel loved.
- books. I have a ton of books in my apartment some I haven't read but they bring me comfort. I love reading and that makes me happy.
- hugs from the right people. At times I act strong but I actually want to cry when I get a hug during those times I feel a lot better.
- music. I cannot spend a day without music, I play it constantly...
- handwritten letters. I grew up writing letters for the people I love and that makes me happy
