Update.

I threw away a bunch of my wigs yesterday! I don’t plan on wearing wigs anytime soon even if my hair is a lot of work but I choose to do it because it’s mine.

Hair products cost a lot but any good thing cost a lot! I chose to invest in my hair because I love it more and more each day. I don’t want to use fake hair at all! My hair is just so pretty and I want to take care of it. :)

Mourning.

Losing my father changed my whole life and the way he left me is something that will always haunt me. To anyone surprise I didn’t cry or had any mental health episode that anyone could see… what I am going through is much worse!

I am not the same as I was last year and I wish I could change so many things but I can’t. All I can do is be gentle with myself and take it day by day. I have no sense of reality, I am not sure what is real anymore. I always feel like everyone is going to leave me so I push everyone away. I am sad and I can feel my heart breaking but I can’t cry as much as I want to and when I cry it’s hard to stop but then when I stop I can’t do it again. I feel soooo alone, so lost and so broken. Nothing feels the same, my job is probably the only thing that makes me happy because I get along with everyone there and they are so sweet to me! I love my coworkers.

My view on reality is not the same! At times I can’t remember what really happened especially if I was hurt my mind will simply block it out. I have been engaging in a lot of reckless behaviors! My mind is racing 1000 miles per hour as if I have ADHD but I don’t have that ! I can’t think straight! I am crashing! I am happy but then I am sad! I want to be there but then I want to disappear.

One thing I can do for myself is to use a journal to write down every disturbing thoughts I have and to sort through them to understand what’s going on.

Thank you to everyone who have been checking on me, I truly appreciate it.

A black woman on tiktok  said black women don’t look feminine with their hair and she doesn’t want to look like Mufasa with her hair. Oh boy let me get started…

I won’t drag this woman as much as anyone might think even if I feel sorry for her but I would love to educate her on natural hair. First of all some of us love the idea of looking like mufasa ! This is what I am going for ! I want my hair to look like a lion’s head and it already does!

She also said black women hair do not grow and I want her to talk about herself because it’s been proven that our hair can really grow! Maybe her hair doesn’t grow but some of us actually have hair that grows out of our scalp. Each one of us have our own idea of what femininity looks like; for her she has to slap a wig on her head to feel pretty and for me my hair is my crown and I love to show it off. Just because you hate your hair doesn’t mean every woman should, she said men prefer women with wigs even if they say they like natural hair … I’m sorry are we living for men? What about what you want? Don’t you want to live for you? I don’t care about what a man think! I care about what I think and that’s what matters to me! When I die I will not take a man with me I will go alone. That lady hates her hair and that’s fine but to say black women don’t look beautiful in their natural hair is baffling ! Keep that thought to yourself no one needs to hear it.
